The Chajju Ram Memorial Jat College, Hisar is one of the best colleges of Haryana. It was inaugurated on 6 April 1967 by the Governor of Haryana – Shri B.N. Chakravarti.

As the region around the city of Hisar was educationally backward, the rural elite of the region, led by Justice D.S. Lamba (1929-76), decided to open a degree college for the rapid spread of education in the region.
